Date/Time
Thu, Nov 3, 2022
2:00 pm EDT - 3:30 pm EDT

In June 2022 three senior scholars of the Leipzig Bach Archive — Christine Blanken, Christoph Wolff, and Peter Wollny — presented a new, thoroughly revised edition of the Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis. Over a period of 12 years, we reviewed every work attributed to Bach and aimed at incorporating the current state of scholarship. In our session the three authors will discuss the principal features of the new work catalogue, talk about its background, and offer some thoughts about future perspectives.
